During the summer holidays, children and their families were invited to join in a Health and Wellbeing event, held at Killhope Mining Centre. The families were treated to a ful expenses paid trip which included travel, entry to the mine, a healthy lunch and a years pass to return to the mine. The children and families enjoyed a workshop and tour of the mine and afterwards experienced a spooky walk through the woods.
On Friday 9th September, Stephen Davies from Durham Council’s Health and Wellbeing team came to present certificates to the families in our celebration assembly. He said, “I have never worked with such a fantastic group of families, they were all brilliant.”
