Reception children had a fantastic morning visiting the Keepmoat building site at Bracks Farm.
The children wanted to know how the big bad wolf could not blow down the house of bricks. After reading the story “The Three Little Pigs,” the children decided that bricks were the best material to use to build a house with, but they didn’t know why they were the best.
On our visit we met Sarah Booth, who took us on a tour around the building site. We looked inside the show homes and saw the builders building some houses.
Then all the children had a chance to lay some real bricks, using a trowel and cement. It was then, that the children found out just how heavy and strong the house bricks were and that is why the wolf could not blow the third little pig’s house down!
