As part of this terms topic, ‘ourselves’, class 1 and class 2 visited the Centre For Life in Newcastle. The children had a chance to learn about different aspects of their bodies including the skeleton and the five senses during afternoon workshops.
The Curiosity and Young Explorers Zones enabled the children to gain hands on experience with various activities. The children also watched the story of The Little Bear in the planetarium, a story about animal patterns in the night sky. The visit was a huge success and the children had a fantastic time learning lots of new facts. Both classes shared their experiences with the whole school during assembly.
